About Vânători-Neamț Natural Park

A natural park established in 1999 and managed by Romsilva, the only place in Romania where the European bison has been reintroduced into the wild.

Rules and safety

Visitor rules
Marked trails only
Stay on marked trails so you do not get lost and can be helped if needed.
Waste
Take all waste out of the park and put it in the containers, biodegradable waste too: bears looking for food are a risk.
Camping
Camp only in permitted places, without digging trenches around the tent or damaging plants.
Dogs
Leave your dog at home or keep it on a lead at all times.
No engines, bicycles on public roads only
No motorised vehicles (cars, ATVs, motorbikes, scooters, snowmobiles) on the park trails. Bicycles are not allowed on tourist footpaths, only on the public roads in the park.
Nature
Protect plants and animals, use no soap or detergent in the waters, leave markers, signs and shelters as you found them and keep quiet. Shelters are for people caught in bad weather, not for parties.
